We offer two specific additional Health and Safety services for clients, to support their compliance to the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 1974. These are Site Surveys and Accident Investigations.
Site Surveys/Workplace Inspections
We provide, independent site surveys for any temporary or permanent work site. These site surveys are created after a one or multi day site visit by one of our safety officers. A site survey will include a list of all potential hazards and risks already there, and from the work being undertaken. A recommended risk assessment is then created to be used as a generic base for your own, work activity specific one (Unless you would like us to do this for you too).
We then look at the required Safe Systems Of Work, Collective and Individual Protective measures required for the workforce to stay safe and then round it off with a review of the Emergency Procedures and relevant local information on Emergency Resources such as clinics, hospitals, emergency service stations ,etc. that may be relevant to the task.
Finally, we give our recommendations for the site and the tasks planned to be done.
Like all our safety work, this is a completely impartial and independent report and our recommendations are put in the document for your own review.

Accident/Near Miss Investigation
Our former emergency service personnel supervisors have many years’ experience of attending incidents of different types. They can utilise this experience and knowledge to provide an independent overview of any accidents or near miss events your business or organisation has had.
As part of a health and safety management system such as ISO45001 or HSG65, you are required to use an Accident Investigation to be able to make the necessary and required changes to your own policies.
A failure of control would be then assessed through a through independent investigation of any accident, ill health or incident with the potential to cause harm or loss.
The objective of this investigation is not to ‘point fingers’, but to determine the immediate causes of the incident and any sub-standard performance and, more importantly, to identify any underlying causes and root causes. Finally, these are looked at to see if there are any implications for the existing health and safety management system in use.
