When working in Mountainous and Remote Locations, on construction sites, productions or other similar projects requiring building or dismantling of infrastructure and similar items, various parts of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015 as amended now apply. This includes the laying of, or removal of temporary cables and other types of work, previously exempt, this is including communications and power work.
There are also various other additional Regulations within the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015 that are applicable in the remote and mountain environment depending on the type of project, and also those that to do with emergency response.
Working with our Specialist Mountain Safety Officers (most of whom are serving or former Mountain Rescue Volunteers trained in rescue in this challenging environment as well as casualty care), who advise, supervise, manage and respond to any support requests, Hebog Specialist Solutions helps to keep your workforce safe and operational.
With the mountain and remote environment containing different types of risks and hazards compared to a more urban project site, at Hebog Specialist Solutions, we have the experience to ensure you meet the specific demands as set out in the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (MHSWR) 1999 including a hazard analysis and risk assessment specifically tailored to the location your workforce are operating in.

At Hebog Specialist Solutions, we provide a top-class service that would start with the initial site survey, prior to your works beginning. This would then be followed by a focused risk assessment and suggestions for the safe systems of work.
